The Kelly Memorial Food Pantry was founded in 1999 in the basement of Trinity First United Methodist Church. It was run by volunteers who felt that hunger in El Paso should be unacceptable.
Sheriff Richard D. Wiles was raised and educated in El Paso, graduating from Andress High School in 1979. Sheriff Wiles joined the El Paso Police Department in 1982 and rose quickly to leadership positions.
