It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the new principal at Da Vinci School. My name is Melissa Longoria, and as the newly appointed principal it is my sincere pleasure and honor to be part of such a respected institution. I am looking forward to working with dedicated students, staff, administration, and parents to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

As an educational leader, I strongly believe that by establishing a collaborative learning environment with high expectations, we build positive relationships that support academic and social growth. Da Vinci school enjoys a rich history of fully preparing its students to be successful academically and socially for the next level of education. I feel truly fortunate to have been appointed principal at a school where it is evident that the focus is on what is best for the students.

Parents, teachers, support staff, community, and administration all have important roles in encouraging our students to become lifelong learners, and it is my desire to provide opportunities for our Da Vinci students to acquire the skills necessary to become citizens in our changing society. Along with that, I believe in supporting teachers in helping them utilize research-based best practices and analyzing academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement.

I am eager to get to know Da Vinci staff, students, and families as we begin our commitment to educational excellence. We will focus on establishing systems and procedures, building 21st century skills using technology, and critical thinking, just to name a few. I look forward to a successful upcoming school year.
